Apium graveolens var. dulce

Originating from the Mediterranean, used medicinally by ancient Greeks, developed in 16th century in France. The secret to fresh crisp stalks is plenty of manure and water, don't let soil dry out as it has shallow roots. Blanch stalks with mulch or cardboard tubes. Pick individual stems as required. Prefers cool conditions. Stores well at cool temperatures and high humidity. Sow in spring and autumn.

More tender than traditional English varieties and needs well drained soil, used cooked or in salads, sow spring and autumn in warmer areas. 120 days.

Approx 800 seeds

Eden Seeds are the old traditional, open pollinated, non-hybrid varieties and have no chemical treatment, and no genetic engineering.  In some cases they are organically grown however they are not certified organic.
